Vision Models BA-64b
Like Rob, I had to do another kit for this group build. Rob, you up for a third one too? This is the Vision models BA-64B, it's a great little model and so far is going together like a dream. Back in the 80's I built a Tonda Vacuform kit of this A/C, so when I say it's a a dream, it really is.....I'm almost giddy putting this together. The only real beef I have is that you only get the transmission and no engine block. I will dig around in my parts box, but I think it will just have to be bare. The only thing I've done to the kit so far is to slightly turn the front wheels which was quick and easy with a saw and a little putty on the back armor plate where the top and bottom hulls parts came together. I think the only other things I will need to do is rough up the weld beads some and add wiring for the horn and head light/tail lights

Greg, you are a machine. That Armoured Car looks like a nice little kit and you've made a great start.

Re: Vision Models BA-64b
Looks to be a fine kit Greg (and a fine build of course)!
That brings back memories of playing Red Orchestra and getting killed in a Tiger by some insane soviet player in a BA-64 with a satchel charge because the turret couldn't re-orient itself fast enough to waste him .
Best regards

Rob, thinking of some officers standing out side of it.....probably paired with some kids and a derelict German item.

Re: Vision Models BA-64b
Reminds me of that time when I did hit a BA-64 through dumb luck with an 88 shell and blew it to pieces....aaah, Red Orchestra, good timesRaoul Kunz wrote:That brings back memories of playing Red Orchestra and getting killed in a Tiger by some insane soviet player in a BA-64 with a satchel charge because the turret couldn't re-orient itself fast enough to waste him .
(For the un-initiated: Red Orchestra was/is a very realistic WW2 game set on the Eastern Front with both infantry and tank combat. It had its silly moments, but for the most part it was about as epic as a video game could get during the late 2000s.)
Concerning matters more on-topic: Great and fast work Greg! I suspect you'll have it done by tomorrow?

Re: Vision Models BA-64b
Thanks gentlemen.
This is the scene I'm working on with the BA-64b to be set in Berlin with some Russian and civilians figures and a derelict German AA gun in the back ground. The BA has been painted and I will post a few photos once I get the wheels painted and mounted.
