Standard Russian 4 wheel military trailer.
In the first photo is an STZ-5 tractor towing a standard Russian 4 wheel military trailer. The 2nd picture is the same trailer from a different angle pulled by an S-65 tractor. In photos 3-5 you will notice I have a print out of the same trailer knocked up side down revealing the chassis of the tractor, I am using this photo for that part of the build. Forgot to mention, I can not find drawings of this trailer, so unfortunately I am forced to go by my photo interpretive skills, so this will not be a 100% accurate build. Over the last couple of years I have collected a few photos of this trailer along with pulling some parts together to make one. The bed is from a Zis truck, the wheels are also from an Zis truck and match the photos, except the tire treads in the photos look like commercial tires, where I have military uni-directional tires. The last few photos show that I have made some progress with the chassis. Next up is to finish the turn table for the front and then the springs. Springs will be modified some before being added.

Brilliant Greg What a fantastic subject. I've wanted to make a trailer like this for a long time but got stuck on the chassis detail. I'll be following along with great interest.

Of course, the most ordinary vehicle imaginable has never been released as a kit.
Nice work so far, looks really good already!

There is a kit of the 1-AP-1 single axle trailer. It's from RPM, maybe I'll tailgate that on to this build.

Re: Standard Russian 4 wheel military trailer.
Dang it Shawn, I was afraid someone was going to ask that. Nothing for now as the two tractors in my unbuilt inventory have guns to be pulled.
YA-12 with a ML-20 and a Voroshiloverts with a B-4. Thinking maybe one of those new Gaz buses that Miniart is about to flood the market with. Or maybe that Zis-44 in the unbuilt stack.
You asked........

Rob, I'm thinking the Staff Bus with the 3 color camo...hubba, hubba with maybe this trailer in plain green.
Working on the towing yoke, if that's the right term, the the stiffener at the top of the sides will be up next.
