Chris, Roy, Philipp - Thanks for the kind comments Fellas.

I like the way that Trumpeter supply metal cable for the tow hawsers :D :D

It is commendably bendy and IMHO the equivalent of Karaya - Take a Bow Trumpeter 8-)

Image

The tow hawsers are held in PE brackets that were fiddly to bend and fit :|

However it all sat nicely in the end....

I had nearly a whole days modelling :P :P Lots of progress.
I changed my usual method of weathering the tyres and used AK Earth effects to paint on the tread and then sprinkled pigments on

A nice tip form Rick Lawler who has done a weathering exercise usin this vehicle on the ~Mig Ammo web site is to use Dark Wash on the inner rims to simulate moisture - works a treat - Many thanks Mr Lawler :D

The aim is for grimey which has (I think) worked

I need to fit lights - do final details and weathering and then open up the hatches. Maybe a couple of figures and a base and I might even finish this Group build at the front

Thanks for looking

Rob

And BTW - as I was searching the web yesterday fro some BTR details I came across this pic.

YO! So my placing the decal on the lower right because it wouldn't fit on the upper shield Wasn't completely daft.

I shall sleep better ;)

This is another seriously great build Rob :D :D

The reference photo at the end could be you GB photo shot, they look just like each other :D

The pigments on the wheel arches is really effective and I can see what you mean by varying the tones and adding wet and oil/grease staining too ;)

Very nice work Rob :D

Stunning! Even more so when we have a roughly equivalent photo under it proving that it's really, really close (maybe even better ;) !
And yes, I also love the Trumpeter tow cables :D .

Thanks Gents - much appreciated :)

The Master Club figure on the left is simple the best sculpting that I've seen in 1/35 - Superlative 8-)

The Tank figure on the right is good but the stance is a little odd

Both are primed (Mig ammo Grey)

And an afternoons painting using Lifecolor exclusively..aiming for this

And for the other figure I'll try this camo..
