Great tutorial Rob. The base is fantastic and thanks for sharing your methods. You make it look so easy!

Love the wingy thing Rob
Great base too, great AB skills on the fading and modulation of the slabs
Another Rob special

Re: Trumpeter BTR-80 APC
Thanks Guys
It's a wrap. Pics to Gary for the Gallery. My first for this Group build - hopefully there'll be 2 more
Finished painting the figures faces today - think I'm going backwards on this
But I'm pleased with the uniform camo schemes.
So I'm signing this Blog off. As is customary here's a quick run down.
Summary
Trumpeter BTR-80 APC - What's not to like. Great fit, copper hawsers supplied. The Vinyl wheels may not be to everyone's tastes but there are plenty of Resin alternatives if that's important to you. The interior is entirely acceptable. i bought a metal barrel but on reflection decided that the kit supplied one was superior. A complete OOB build. Highly recommended.
Master Club Russian soldier (squatting) - the best sculpted figure that I've bought. Superb. Getting hold of these figures is not easy, though http://www.models-hobby.com/ have them in plentiful quantities and sell using PayPal. Very Highly recommended.
Tank-model Russian Soldier (standing) - nicely sculpted though the stance takes a bit of getting used to, and the head/facial features are average
Meng Models - Concrete barrier - A delight.
Paint - The TR is finished entirely in Mig Ammo Colours. I Love them Figures are painted in Lifecolor which is admirably "Flat". I uded AK Glazes on all of the figures and intend to review the filter set in Tips and techniques.
This build has been a Blast - one of my most enjoyable. I fear I'll be building a few more Russian vehicles courtesy of Trumpeter. (I blame Gregovic )
Thanks for looking

Fantastic stuff from start to finish. And done in exactly 3 months
