I think the camo paint and weathering look very good and the figures will really finish it off nicely.

The vehicle is excellent. But I like the complex figure painting even more.

Thanks for the comments Guys :P

I originally thought I'd do a foliage base then a leaf floor but then got sidetracked

....and thought I'd do some concrete slab paving - this BTR may well have been at Pristina airport

The plasticard sections need some sort of texture coating

Image

I tried the Vallejo sandy paste which is a good idea looking for an opportunity :?

The only problem is that it's difficult to "trowel" flat and then it's tough to sand and reduces to a smooth surface

Image

So I settled with Mr Surfacer 500 whihc is not as coarse as I would wish but does "paint" flat

More soon

I've had good experiences with simple general purpose wall filler spread onto a sheet of plywood. That's what I used for my BT-7 base. I guess the concrete texture would be next to invisible in 1/35 scale.

Phiipp - You aren't wrong. But - just modelling flat smooth card would look wrong.

Here's where I got to .........
