Trumpeter BTR-80 APC
With the Airfix Bedford MWD as an hors d'oeuvre, this will be my main entry to this Group Build
Chris Smith got me thinking when he suggested something outside of our comfort zone for this GB and suggested that BTRs came in a rhapsody of different colour schemes.
He' right and I'll be using the Russian SFOR scheme in Khaki green, Grey sand and Black (middle vehicle in the pic below) - all paints courtesy of Mig Ammo.
Hopefully the build should be straightforward and quick, there'll be figure or two - to be decided.
Thanks for the inspiration Chris

That sounds interesting Rob! The camo scheme certainly looks intriguing and a Russian SFOR marked vehicle is a fascinating choice!
Looking forward to the build!

Quite interesting subject Rob! Too bad the recent Balkans conflicts aren't much appreciated by modellers, there's definitely everything from Shermans to Leopard 2s, not to mention all the smaller stuff.

Nice choice Rob I quite like the look of the KFOR marked scheme on that sheet
Looking forward to see how this goes together.

Gregovic and Royvic - Слова благодарности товарищи
And thanks to everyone else for dropping by
And it's an off with what I hope will be another quick build...
The suspension needs a little clean up but builds without too much heartache
But before finishing that I got bored and started on the interior - I'm thinking I'll have some of the hatches open. This will be OOB and the internal detail is adequate .
In comparison with the Bedford it's a bit of a monster
I've looked around for Modern Russian Stowage Anyone know of any
Greg, Roy - do you have any reference sites for modern Russian uniforms (Thanks if you have)
