I don't think there are any more companies out there who do this?

Proving my Nerd credentials beyond ANY reasonable doubt :? :ugeek:

http://store.spruebrothers.com/category_s/2091.htm - Cross Delta decals - obscure but interesting - I have the "Erbsenmuster" which is not entirely convincing and the Italian camo that VERY interestingly they provide in various different (?faded) shades

And Alliance Modelworks did the ACU but interestingly looking on their website - they no longer list these.

The Shinsengumi declas will sit but I found that you have to keep applying decal setting solution and I "moulded" the decal with a cocktail stick until it dried.

@Steve - Yup - my figures Steve - Shinsengumi decal camo smocks/helet covers and painted Erbsenmuster pants

@Philipp - If I'm honest - I dont think the Peddinghaus decals capture the camo scheme wheras the Splittermuster looks fine and is still better than I can currently paint :?

I've had nothing but bad experience with Peddinghaus decals, I had some of their vehicle sets, threw them away in the end.

Cross Delta are very good to use and I've used Trumpeters MarPat digital camo decals as well, not as nice as CD but still usable.

Thanks for the warning...

I guess they might be useful for simpler applications...the experiment wasn't a complete failure, it's just the loss of detail that annoyed me.

Don't loose heart, boys :)

They all need a test run, and there are plenty of stood figures with minimal creasing on the trousers, to try ;)

Nil Desperandum, chaps ;)

I'm just as surprised as you probably are, but I made some progress on the figures:

Just a few more touchups...and an already prepared Stgw 44 for the one on the left.

Thank you Steve! So far the decals have behaved nicely, but I recommend a matte coat before doing any weathering, the surface won't hold paint or pigments very well otherwise.

Thanks again :)

Made a (very very messy) start on the diorama base, usual receipe: A cheap but decent picture frame, filled to the brim with the best soaked wet soil you'll find in Germany

Once I'm happy with the overall structure I'll soak everything again in diluted white glue to make it solid enough. Afterwards I'll add some of these nice grass tufts I bought a while ago.

The overall setting is supposed to be somewhere in Central Germany in early 1945. And belive me when I say that the "roadless season" is very common around here too, at least once you get off the paved roads.
