Re: P4P
Well, it's certainly, erm.... different
Nice start Olivier - looking forward to seeing how this one develops.

Re: P4P
Yes it is different indeed. I can't say I love the look of it but I like building weird models or at least less conventional ones.
Blast did not put any details inside the cabin so I will have to depict the inside frames of the doors and windows. Will probably add some wiring too if it can be seen in the end.

Re: P4P
I'm slowly progressing on this one. I've scratched the radio supports. The left one got the radio bracket bolted to the support.
I started to detail the interior which is left empty by Blast Models. There are a lot of frames around the armored windows to be added as well as the doors locking system. I'll add only what will remain visible when the cabin is glued on.
TBC

Here are the latest pics. The interior is done and slightly weathering in order to see the details with the cabin on.
I added some bits outside and it starts looking like the actual one. The wheels will be removed for the painting step.

This little jeep looks at the same time streamlined and boxy.. like 80s sport scars .
(And it does look great! In case this looked like nothing but an amused remark )
Best regards

Re: P4P
Not much left of the original kit, is there?
I'm glad to see you are putting some work at building an interior.

Re: P4P
Thanks for the comments.
Don't worry Raoul, I do not consider this is a beautiful vehicle, in fact I find it quite ugly but I was in one of them during a couple of months so I had to have one in my collection
John, I did the minimum effort with the interior. What will be visible has been dealt with but much more could have been added as the dashboard and the central console with the gear box levers and other controls are not accurate for a French P4. But the size of the windows prevents you to really see inside. So I did it the easy way ... well the lazy one in fact
Now I must find my period pictures back to determine what camouflage I have to apply (I'm not sure if it was green or three-tone camoed)and what the registration number was.

Re: P4P
Thank you Shawn. The kit is on hold now. I'll probably add the side mirrors as there are the last parts I can glue. In front of each headlight there is a grill that I'll glue after the painting step.
