Re: Opel Blitz
Thanks Philipp. Those colour pics you sent me were a big help mixing the red brown. I'm pretty pleased with the result. I'll have to go back with some gloss because I forgot to put the decals onPhilipp Gross wrote:Always happy to help

Re: Opel Blitz
I got a move on with the boards. Decals are on. Thanks to my brother Michael for supplying the decal solutions to help the decals snuggle down into all the grain I so painstakingly scribed into the boards. I also scuffed and dirtied them up. Can't have nice new markings now can we?
Vincent
and the boards attached. Now it looks like a Gondola
I dirtied up the inside with various pigment colours....
and finally a sneak peak of the Gondola on the base. See how close I am to finishing?
Thanks for looking. It's lonely in here...I think everybody else has gone.... Vincent

Hi Vincent
The last photos are, to be honest, totally realistic and as such a massive complement to your weathering skills
From rusted wreaks to beat up flat bed rolling stock, you really are the master at finishing effects
We need detailed SBS's Vincent, the finish is definitely worthy of publication
Your work just keeps getting better and better, what next
Excellent one

Re: Opel Blitz
Thanks for your kind words Steve, I appreciate it very much. It's hard to know if there is any progress unless someone comments, so thanks again.Steve Hutchinson wrote:Hi Vincent

I do enjoy the weathering part best of all and it helps if the subject is something I really like.
I'm happy to do an SBS though finding the time to do something like that is the real issue. I'll see what I can do.
Cheers,
Vincent
