These boards look fantastic! Straight off the railyard!

Thanks Philipp. Those colour pics you sent me were a big help mixing the red brown. I'm pretty pleased with the result. I'll have to go back with some gloss because I forgot to put the decals on

Cheers,

I got a move on with the boards. ;) Decals are on. Thanks to my brother Michael for supplying the decal solutions to help the decals snuggle down into all the grain I so painstakingly scribed into the boards. :D I also scuffed and dirtied them up. Can't have nice new markings now can we?

I dirtied up the inside with various pigment colours....

and finally a sneak peak of the Gondola on the base. See how close I am to finishing?

Hi Vincent

The last photos are, to be honest, totally realistic and as such a massive complement to your weathering skills :D

From rusted wreaks to beat up flat bed rolling stock, you really are the master at finishing effects :D

We need detailed SBS's Vincent, the finish is definitely worthy of publication :D

Your work just keeps getting better and better, what next :?:

Excellent one ;)

Thanks for your kind words Steve, I appreciate it very much. :) It's hard to know if there is any progress unless someone comments, so thanks again.
I do enjoy the weathering part best of all and it helps if the subject is something I really like.
I'm happy to do an SBS though finding the time to do something like that is the real issue. I'll see what I can do. ;)

Cheers,
Vincent
