Re: 4 wheels, 2 hp driven wagon
Belatedly, Thanks John
The horses are a work in progress, I still haven't grasped the Max Longhurst method yet, but will keep trying
As for the wagon, it is ready to be sealed, as I think it is faded now
and the brand new one
The figures are all assembled and the main colours blocked in ready to be painted and faded
The heads are getting there, they seem pale but it is the finish I am looking for, as dejected prisoners after several days of marching East
As the weather gets better, outside work is getting the lions share of my off duty time, along with looking for another job
Thanks for popping in, hopefully not as long to the next update

Excellent work with the worn paint on the wagon. But I still think the one in bare wood looks like a museum model.

Re: 4 wheels, 2 hp driven wagon
Its been awhile, sorry chaps, though, I guess I could send all 3/4 of you a personal apology PM
I have finished one of the 12 figures, the photo is rubbish though, anyway here goes
The headless companion is the normal size, the battered guy is a shortened version wth a young Hornet head as a contrast with the other 11 figures
I am not happy with the Field Grey, but as he is a new recruit it is a newer uniform and darker, I will trying to get more fade with the others, a work in progress
As is the bruising and battered look, it is better in "real" life and as there are a mixture of casualties and prisoners in the GB, I will keep practising
I will put shoulder boards and eagles on when I have finished the others, along with buttons and buttonholes and all the little bits and pieces of blending and finishing
I just had to get one figure assembled with a head and hands
I have loads of Archer dry transfers which are really good. I used them on the British infantry figures last year and they are so much better than wet transfers and do behave themselves better too
As I am not always in the right frame of mind for painting, I have started scribing figures to keep my hand and eye in and also get the supporting actors done for the other string of Stug III builds I have in the paint-shop, on the bench and in my imagination, SO I may photo them and get them blogged to, soonish
I will crack on and hopefully have a few more figures done soon, though it maybe awhile
Thanks for stopping by

Don't be so harsh on yourself. The photo might not be the greatest ever but the guy seems to be really, as we Germans say, "Durch den Wind" ("Through the wind", meaning "He's gone through something tough") which I suppose will be appropriate for everyone on this diorama!the photo is rubbish though, anyway here goes
Best regards

Re: 4 wheels, 2 hp driven wagon
Thanks boys
Your's and Raoul's camo decal work is excellent and very cutting edge for forum posts here or anywhere
We have great modelers here at PA, figure painting, PE work, scratch building and more and more weathering, rusting and burnt out finishes
We also have an expanding range of reference material too
It is a solid base for future development, we will get back to where we were with MA, one day
Thank for popping by

Steve - I can only echo Philipp and Raoul - impressive work and reading back along the blog - Fab effects on the 2 wagons - really like the contrast.
This is really quite an opus
Keep it coming
