Did I just see the headless horsemen in there somewhere. Silly American humor. Seriously, those heads look great.

Re: 4 wheels, 2 hp driven wagon
Thanks chaps
Nice research Matt, I have tried the transparent yellow and orange and it does work well, probably from MA.
As the wagon has loads of planking there are plenty of opportunities for mixing old and new and different types of woods too.
Plenty to get stuck into , than matt
Cracking site Rob, as I have 2 horses it fits nicely, one of each an oil and an acrylic, you chaps can be judges as to the best
No headless horsemen yet but you never know, I could sort of put one together for the fun of it.
Thanks chaps, sterling support
Thanks for popping by

Re: 4 wheels, 2 hp driven wagon
Its been too long, and its time for therapy too,
I seem to be a head-oholic and need help
I have rounded up all the heads I have collected for my 2015 head/figure painting counterpoint to the 2015 Stug fest, and it is a serious problem
The head choices for the GB figures
The hornet stash of 30+
and heads all in the paint shop wings, so to speak
I really do have a problem
Back on the horse so to speak
and the Mojo seems to be flowing again, big thanks to Shawn and his SBS on figures, it really has got me focused
The wagon with a base coat of beige, Thanks Matt, your wood colour experiment has also been a kick in the pants too
AND I HAVE FOUND MY OLD GB BUILDS TOO
Anna has ""allowed" me a shelf at the bottom of our empty display cabinet
My 2013 Pz I & IV fest builds too, I seem to find a theme and stick to it
Time to get this GB, BACK INTO HIGH GEAR AGAIN
Thanks for popping by and I will not be leaving it too long before some more updates

It will be fun to see how your skills improve with each new model and figure built.

Steve, that is a lot of heads. I'm hoping there are bodies to go with them somewhere?

Heads, I see heads!
Seriously though: I don't have quite that many Hornet heads but even my moderate arsenal has now a suspiciously large collection of these little bags .
It's also great for the other builds to have resurfaced!
Best regards

Re: 4 wheels, 2 hp driven wagon
You do have a problem with those heads don't you Steve.
All joking aside I kind of think your frustrations with heads might be because you are trying to paint so many of them. Do you have them all planned for projects or just practice???
If they are for projects you have to many going on at once. I would never want to pick one up to paint it just thinking that I have 50 more to go.

Re: 4 wheels, 2 hp driven wagon
Hi Chaps
Yes Vincent, I have over 100 figure sets in the attic, so there are bodies for all the heads and plenty extra too
Shawn, I only really paint heads in 4s & 5s, the others are base colour experiments
Once I had a good system to strip paint, I just kept experimenting with different shades of base coat to try and find one I liked
I am still looking
All the loose ones are Alpine and Legend, which really are not up to snuff when you have Hornet heads, so they may never get to a final finish unless they have something the others don't have
And thanks to Matt, I have some progress with the cart
I painted some odd planks a different base coat to add variety and used 3 different oils to put on a wood-grain finish using these
to get this
Once they have dried fully I will use the transparent orange and yellows next, in a few days
Now to post my head painting on the other blog, as they are the heads for my Pz III A GB
More soon

Re: 4 wheels, 2 hp driven wagon
Thanks Rob
Too many heads, I think
Can I call this one finished?
Just off the forecourt of "Carts R us"
As it is oil paints I will need to seal before some really serious weathering, this is a target I am aiming for
Some more updates tonight as I have to get to work
