Hobbyboss Kraz PRV-16B Radar conversion
i will be chopping and changing the hobby boss Kraz kit then scratch build up the rest using styrene sheet and strip,,i may also use a bit of brass as well to build this into my interpretation of a PRV 16B ' thin skin' height finding radar.
(i have already started this build but having just joined the site i will explain what i have actually done to the hobby boss kit to get to were i am now)
you will need to bear with me on this i am a little rusty on rustling up bloggs

Re: Hobbyboss Kraz PRV-16B Radar conversion
as this build started 4 weeks ago heres a quick rundown on how ive got to where i am at the moment ,the build so far is the main bulky items that build up reasonably fast, all the hard work still to come.
i have built up the chassie, engine and running gear as per the instructions but have cut the rear cross member off so i can extend it
i have moved the fuel tanks forward up to the steps
next job was the outriggers that bolt to the chassie rails these were made from strips of styrene and built up into the h section, extend the rear of the chassie and build up ,fit the walkway behind the cab
the nuts and bolts were from these great items made by meng and come in various sizes, there nuts,on one side of the strip and bolts on the back ,made of styrene you just shave them off with a scalpel and glue them on with the same glue you use to build your kit up
the build up of the box on the back was next ..i trimmed down the sides of the cargo floor and built up the sides and the roof using 1mm styrene sheet
built up the roof walking boards out of strip
i then fitted it out using strene tube, strip and some odds n ends from the spares box ,built up the lockers anfixed them to the underside of the cargo floor
build up the boxes to the fear of the cabin and glued them in position
so this is were we are today

Hi Roy,
good to see your work again, always inspiring stuff. Can't get over how much you've done in four weeks.
