While the vinyl tyres are quite well done, the seam around the circumference is a real PITA to remove, hence the resin options from ET Model. However.... There's no doubt the resin offerings are direct copies of the kit parts, but the casting isn't that great :( The styrene hub details are much sharper for starters. Also, the front wheels aren't positional other than being straight ahead. Plus side though is no horrible seam mould to worry about.

So, in an attempt to make this build so much harder than it needs to be, out came the Dremel and grinding wheel. The resin wheel's hub was ground out...

So it can be replaced with the styrene option....

Only 5 more wheels to go. Thankfully this isn't an 8 wheeler

The plastic hubs are probably the better choice, from what I remember one or both of the front hubs is copied wrong, they are 180degrees out compared to where the flat has been moulded.

Chris

I recall you mentioning this previously when you built yours. I assume that ET have revised this now as they were okay in my set. Still think that the likes of Celticwerks or Cold Basement would make a better job though :D

Tool box (?) and fuel tank in place along with spare wheel holder. Fuel tank needed a fair bit of filler around the edges :?

And 99% completed. Once safe to do so (to prevent me knocking it during construction), the door can be attached to the hinges ad the sliding support bracket can be added...

The middle rear section as a WIP....

The cylinder shaped container (1 more to be fitted) on the top is actually a tool box rather than an compressed air cylinder.
