Really great work Raoul. The mud puddles look very real.

I know what you mean about the Forest in the Pot. I always wanted to order some but thanks goodness I had a chance to see some before I did. I to thought it looked very unrealistic. But how you corrected it makes it look so much better. Well done.

Thanks Shawn! :D
Yeah... the forest in a pot was a disappointment... it's still full of nice things like pieces of bark, but also spongy bits which are...well...green sponge :? .
It can be nice if treated further but it's not a OOTB product by all means.

The puddles are actually fairly easy to do, if you remember that you need to build up layers and layers and layers of the artificial water because when it dries it loses something like 2/3 of it's mass.

I went ahead and glued everyone to the baseplate, the vehicles remaining moveable of course, and added some of the (insanely expensive to be honest) autumn leaves from mig.

Looking very nice indeed Raoul. Love scenes like this - so much detail to look at and admire 8-)

Thanks Gary :D !

I'm currently nearing completion, I added a frame around the whole diorama (flimsy thing though...), made some modifications on the pig puddle and added a utterly unhelpful road sign - it says "route diversion" and "HERETIC!" - all that could be useful seems to have been removed by either retreating Germans or Polish resistance  .

Now I need to finish the way shrine and the cat (reduced to one since I can reason why it would be there but not another  ).

The shrine is more or less done.
However I have a question: if there are any Catholics here, is it realistic to have both a votive figurine and an icon?
I'm a lapsed protestant with heathen tendencies so I really have to rely on those who actually now these things ;) .

Thanks Vincent! :D
And I generally don't trust you Philipp, I know you are a horribly lapsed Catholic who really can't be trusted in this regard  .
(can this really be a coincidence that this is my 666th post?!) :o  ....

Looking great Raoul. I've used Forest in a pot in the past and was disappointed with how it looked, nice work blending it in. The leaves on the puddles are a very nice little touch.
