Thanks Chris! :D
How come everyone who posted here on the topic of "Forest in a Pot" didn't like it or was at least distinctly underwhelmed and still it gets positive reviews?! The world can't be made up solely of cretins.....can it?
...also: which forest has sponges growing on it's floor?! ²

Best regards

Really great finish Raoul. I will keep my eye out for the pics to go up in the Gallery.

I feel so in adequate though.  I only finished my 251. You on the other hand did 2- 251's, a base and to many figures to count.

Well done.

Hey, don't feel bad people, I currently have time... lot's of it, and I'll have some more time for the next half year at least (and no, I'm not unemployed, I'm just currently...ahem...quite ill :? ).

Awwww, this isn't meant to be moping I'm fairly OK right now and thanks guys, just don't feel bad ;) .

Also: it's just 10 figures - I counter Steve's quality with quantity...which, as comrade Stalin was fond of mentioning, has a quality all on it's own ;) .

Love it Raoul

Your time has been well invested, with the super diorama :D

The decal camo has really shown that they do work, I will have to negotiate some samples when I get around to attempting late war camo ;)

I was thinking of 2 cm square pieces, if possible

Perhaps smaller as I was thinking big enough to cover a 1:35 scale vitruvian man, for a jacket or trousers, both would be even better :D

a discussion for another day 8-)

Love the figures and the heads are well done too, even the "crazed" claymation figure

The base really is good too, as you look around you can see all the different elements and all the work that has been put into what is at first view a "simple" mud patch,
but is far more involved than that :D

Time well spent, and I hope you make a speedy recovery, even if it means we don't see as much of your work in the coming months ;)

Very nice work :D

Thanks Steve! :D

Honestly: I love the figure with the claymation head, he has the exact look Aardman protagonists have when something goes wrong...which evidently is what has happened here  .

I'd say you need a bit more for a 1:35th scale figure, you have a lot of fiddly elements when you try to fix it to the anatomy of a human in baggy clothing ;) .
Just tell what you'd like to try/use for the "model-model" I still have a ton of those, they last... I gave 8 out of 10 figures camo here and still don't feel as if I'd used up a lot.
Currently I have Italian-pattern camo and Splittertarn for spring and autumn.
Just drop me a line and I'll send them on their way ;) .

Now I hope that MS isn't happily chomping on my e-mail... I expect essentially everything from hotmail  .

Hi Raoul,

I am, as always not clear with what I am trying to say

I was begging a swap or something, of pieces of decal to use as patterns for hand painting, to get the scale 8-)

It is the recommended way to best capture the pattern size and has been a minor quest over the past year, but it has been thwarted by the sheer cost of the decals,
when all I really needed was a 1:35 sized piece which would be used to paint in each panel as it had been cut to actually make said garment, if that is clearer?

I was painting 2 Kradketten coated sniper figures for an E-bay sales project, just to see what they may sell at?

I have the Dragon set 3 times over as they were a bonus with one of the many Stug III A's I have purchased recently

Just an option, cash is always good too

I will update my painting soon, hopefully ;)

Regards

Steve, I read straight over
[...] big enough to cover a 1:35 scale vitruvian man [...]
.

It's really not your fault for lack of accuracy, it's mine for reading in a weird state of mind and not paying sufficient attention... especially embarrassing since I value the ability to recognize even complex semiotics and am defeated by the most obvious of references :? ... .

...this is not to say that your posts lack depth... I'm really digging my hole ever deeper, am I?

Aaaaaaaaanyhow I can still send you the patterns and think something up as a trade, no stress here  .

You're the man ;)

I'll update later with photos and we can negotiate 8-)

I am still very envious of both your building and English, I do need to remember that this is not your native tongue, so I will not overplay the semiotics

To be continued ;)
