End of the current Group Build

Post by Philipp Gross »

Hi Folks,

as you may know our group build was scheduled to end on January 31st - next Saturday.

However, it would appear that quite a lot of our participants could use some extra time to finish their entries. Since modelling is supposed to be fun first, Gary and I have considered extending the end date. But before we do that, we'd like to ask you about your opinion on that. :)

The poll will close on January 31st. Feel free to add other suggestions how we should handle the matter now and in the future.

Philipp

An extra month should be enough for me.

Hi Gang

010315 would be good, 26 weeks seems a fair GB campaign length, 2 a year, and time to find my 2 builds

Still buried somewhere after my building work :(

End it when it was supposed to be. My Stug won't be finished but I have learned only to attempt one build in the time frame.

Maybe having internal or sub-deadlines would be a good idea for next time.

Like having basic construction done by a certain date, priming/base coat done by a certain date and so on.

It seems with group builds people wait until the last minute and try to finish too fast or give up all together.

I'm ashamed to say that I won't be able to finish no matter how long the extension would be, so maybe my vote doesn't count.
Anyway, I think an end date is just that, the date it ends. I know next time I'll be doing my best to finish within the timeframe allocated.

Cheers,
Vincent

Since we are not going to start another GB anytime soon why not extend. I am the one who started this whole GB build topic and I do recall suggesting not having a time line to have it completed. Although that is not realistic I think a one year time line on all GB is ideal. Have two topics like we did this time and for you spend builders just do like you always do and have multiple projects going on at once.

Either way if we don't extend the date no harm done. I will finish mine when I can and share with all of you guys when it is completed.

Remember- Its all about the fun.

I guess it's February on all parts of the globe by now, so let's have a look:

Yes - extend 1 Month (February 28th): 2 Votes

Yes - extend longer (please specify): 3 Votes

No - end it on January 31st: 6 votes

The mob has spoken, the group build has ended.

So, what does this mean? I honestly don't know. Gary, help me!

There you have it. Gary did not finish either so I think that trumps the polling. :D :D

Besides I bet the 6 votes to close it down are the 6 guys who finished their builds. :D

It really does not matter to me. Just giving everyone a hard time.
