Ukraine Tribute Group Build?
Here's an idea that has been in the back of my mind lately...
Ukraine is for all intents and purposes the most important European country for producing model kits. Miniart, ICM, Master Box and many others have been dominating the industry alongside their Asian competitors for over a decade and I'm sure all of us have built at least one Ukrainian model kit before. Alongside all the unspeakable human misery this war has brought, it has also put a cornerstone of our hobby into peril.
So here's the idea....let's all build an Ukrainian model kit to honour those who are most likely fleeing or fighting for their lives right now. And to make this a bit more than just a symbolic gesture I'd like to propose that for every model you enter here, you make a small donation to a relief effort of your choice as a sort of "entry fee".
I'm thinking about a 3 month timeframe, possibly longer. Even if the war were to end tomorrow, rebuilding the country will take years and cost untold billions.
So, that's my proposal. What do you think? Would you be willing to participate?

Re: Ukraine Tribute Group Build?
Sounds like a good idea.
The only caveat would be no modern Russian models with the ""Z"" logo.
That would feel very wrong in these circumstances.
Perhaps one day in the future but not today

Fair enough! Of course, judging from photos, an Ukrainian flag and some yellow stripes seem to be common markings on Russian vehicles at the momentSteve Hutchinson wrote: ↑11 Mar 2022, 07:10 The only caveat would be no modern Russian models with the ""Z"" logo.

The subforum is now open: https://www.plasticpanzers.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=79
I've kept it open ended for now, I guess we should keep it running at least as long as the war continues.
I'll be on vacation next week so I won't be able to enter immediately, but I'll be looking forward to your builds
