Speaking of Middle East...would a 1943 British Sherman in Syria qualify or should we stick to post-1945?

Ohh, good question?

I guess the IDF being formed on 26th May 1948 sort of deletes anything earlier!

Sorry

Good call!

I guess I could stick with an Egyptian Sherman or T-34 from the Suez crisis or later.... I'd also like to do a Pakistani Sherman from one of their wars with India, but I guess that no longer qualifies as Middle East either

Another good question

Wikipedia

""The Middle East is a geopolitical term that commonly refers to the region spanning the Levant, Arabian Peninsula, Anatolia, Egypt, Iran and Iraq. The term came into widespread usage as a replacement of the term Near East beginning in the early 20th century.""

Well tried but no cigar! ;)

ps, I shall do a well rusted T-5? and try to emulate our rust maestro Vincent 8-)

And *drum rolls* here are the winners:

Interwar: 01/01/2022-30/06/2022

Middle East: 01/07/2022-31/12/2022

Since Interwar had the most proponents in the original topic discussion I've decided to put it first. ;)

Still undecided between a Spanish Civil War T-26 and a Russian Civil War armoured car...good thing there's still time to consider my options

Was thinking T-26 or a Panzer I. Can’t find a model of the US Army’s Combat Car so that’s out….

If I work up the motivation to participate, it will be a Type95 Light Tank "Ha-Go" in Manchuria.
I have a really cool set of figures to go with it ;)

I’m going to go with the Panzer I Breda in 1/35 scale from Ammo for the Interbellum build. It hasn’t been released in Australasia yet so can’t get it locally here in NZ or from Aus. I’ve bitten the bullet and bought it direct from Ammo along with the matching paint set. I’m less worried about the price, more the unpredictability of the global postal serviceS at the moment, even stumping up for DHL Express…..hopefully I’ll have something to glue together by mid-Jan :?

Nice choice Adam

I kit bashed/scratched one a few years ago and the SCW colour set is great with loads of options for 3 tone camo or Negrillos, even 4BO

I'm still looking through the stash for my choice of victim.

I have 17 Pz I's, 6 Bren carriers and 3 Pz II's.

Have fun in 2022 with the Breda
