2022 Group Builds

Post by Philipp Gross »

Hi folks,

With the end of the year coming in sight I guess it's time to consider the next year's GB...that is, if there's still interest in doing them? I'm more than happy to hear your thoughts and suggestions :)

As for topics, some things have crossed my mind:

- WW2 after WW2: Any WW2 era vehicle in service after the war, from Finnish Stugs to Syrian Panzer IVs and whatever else was still around after 1945.

- Conversion kits: Really just anything involving resin, 3D printing or similar going beyond basic aftermarket to significantly change a base kit.

- Field Mods: Any modifications outside official upgrade programmes, I.e. applique armour, new armament or conversions for a completely new role.

- Interwar: All the wonderful machines in service between 1919 and 1939

Even if I'm not very active on the forum at the moment, I'm still interested in a GB. Unfortunately none of the kits in my stash fits the bill of any of your proposals.
So I suggest adding two mores themes : Engineer vehicles, Reconnaissance vehicles. Any time frame will be suitable.

Well I am open to most things GB wise,

Finish an old GB would be a good one for me

How many have we had, I've lost count of the ones I've missed

Perhaps an IDF or middle East conflict?

Interwar anything from any body 1919-39, love those tankettes

The far East from 1936 mainland China

The Pacific war

Civilian vehicle in Military use

Pick any single manufacturer, Dragon. MiniArt or to be really tough ICM, Revell, Airfix, yuck!

Use at least 50% of a PE set for any kit

Pick a flavour of Tank Pz I to Pz IV, US M3-4, USSR T? to 34 British what the Yanks sold us
you get the idea.

You list 5 items from your stash and everyone else votes on what you build

The best idea, pick your own favourite kit and finish it in 6 months

We could wind it all back to the beginning and start with a Pz III and M4

HTH's?

I'd also like the
Interwar anything from any body 1919-39 [...]
option - also really need to get to the bloody tadpole MkIV at some point!

Sorry, again very emotionally drained - but interbellum would be really cool, there's a whole lot of weird stuff going on there, experimental and whatnot!

Best regards

Just stood in front of the stash and took stock….to thin it out I’d be up for;

- Resin conversion (Chieftain ARRV Mk-7 from Accurate Armour)

- IDF (half my stash)

- Interbellum (looks like fun)

I could also add APC….I have way too many M113, BMP, BRD and BMD kits ;)

Although I hardly ever finish a kit, I would love to see a post-apocalyptic GB. Lots of possibility for some awsome scratch building from the very skilled people here

The Middle East GB forum is now open: https://www.plasticpanzers.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=80

The rules are simple, any military vehicle/ship/aircraft from any middle eastern state, from 1948 (end of British Palestine) until today.

Have fun everyone :)
