2019 Group Build suggestions
About time to start throwing a few ideas about. Left over ones from last year that stand out to me are
-What if?
-Anti Aircraft vehicles
I also thought we might have a “revisit” topic. There are a few group builds that I never got the chance to participate in, and one I started and never completed. What about a chance to revisit the GB of your choice and complete it?
I think two group builds per year is enough, we hit 4 again this year and it was a bit manic!

Re: 2019 Group Build suggestions
Oh right, year's almost over again
Very good suggestions Adam! The idea of reactivating a previous GB has crossed my mind as well. On the other hand, we do have the Shelf Queens campaign, which is still running
I also agree with a maximum of 2 topics, preferrably for the whole year. Regrettably overall participation is a bit down (mea culpa ), so it won't make much sense to have a bunch of different GBs with only 1-2 entries each.
More topics I'd like to suggest:
- MBTs (1945-today, to coax a few people out of their WW2 comfort zone)
- Anti-Tank (everything from AT guns to tank destroyers to ground attack aircraft)
I'd say we keep collecting a bit longer and start a poll in early December

Re: 2019 Group Build suggestions
Hi... err.. My name is Raoul, I was once active here... then I failed quite substantial at participation...
Anyway - how about=>
- Staff Cars?
- Modern Mechanized (HUMVEEs, "Technicals", Gun Trucks and the like)?
- again Interbellum?
- large scale diorama (a year or more for that- maybe a long term thing... no personal reason whatsoever...)?
- Towed Artillery (of any kind and era, from horse drawn to a patriot missile)?
That's my suggestions... also I will be posting again in the next couple of days.
Just needed to kick myself into the... well... you know...
Best regards
Raoul G. Kunz

Hi ...my name is Steve and .........................................................................................
still waiting for a new knee and dealing with the niggling pain, (excruciating actually!)
I think Adam is on the ball with 2 GB's, which seems reasonable for 2019.
I was thinking something generic like bases?????
grass, roads, swamps, buildings, mud, sand, absolutely anything at all and perhaps 2 for the year, to put those shelf Queens on.
Otherwise, I am game for most everything, anything.
Count me in and hopefully a little more engaged moving forward.
I even have oils ready for the SturmTiger prototype.
We need your vote, everyone
Regards
Steve H

I like the idea of a "2nd Chance" Group Build if for no other reason than I failed miserably at the last selection. Besides I also have something on the bench

Re: 2019 Group Build suggestions
All of these are great ideas. I have a number of kits in the stash which could benefit from some of the suggested GB. I just hope time resource will not be limited as per this ending year.

Re: 2019 Group Build suggestions
I am just happy with the little car award I got. The Nagmachon is still sitting there waiting for a coat of paint but I think it wil be a next year finish. I am still building during lunch but not much finishing in the works. I have my Syrian JagdPanzer painted and washed. Just waiting motivation to finish it. Almost anything you guys come up with I can probably do at least one in a years time. (I hope)

Re: 2019 Group Build suggestions
I'd say we do two subjects as usual and the "second chances" as an extra option. It should only apply to existing unfinished GB blogs here on the site, otherwise it would just reopen all the old topics.
Another idea from previous years: Desert Warfare. Anything from Babylonian cavalry to that Syrian T-55 seen on the news last week.
