I would have thought so, an Abrams’ with TUSK is essentially an assault tank. However, the other way to look at it is that “Heavy Tanks” were monsters compared to their counterparts of the time frame.

I see no reason not to include the recent MBTs with extra armour packages, as Adam said they basically fulfil the same role like the assault tanks of WW2.
In theory we could include everything with higher than usual armour
