I haven't been ignoring you guys.
But my last diorama was a long, long way from being any sort of armor topic. But now that it's been finished I'm beginning a new not-so-armor diorama which at least has one vehicle with treads. So I'm posting it here.
Remember these terrible old things. Still, they were fun to build. And most of us could get one together in half a day.

Some progress and explanations of that progress.
The scene has the robot, which I've named Carl AND a hover-boat. (Ian McQue style)
First parts of weathering applied.
Base foam cut and first layer painted.

Oh yeah! Those old Robotech kits...some of the members here will find some of them strangely familiar if you played FASA's original Battletech (of course those are no longer there, given their..ahem... copy-cat status ) - very cool topic!
Also: to be armour it just has to be, well, armoured in my opinion, hence the reason you can find a Gundam MS in my gallery .
Best regards
