Re: The Little French House
You are the diorama master for sure.
You have so many talents. I wish I could sculpt like you do that furniture is amazing as is everything else.
I would not even know were to begin printing off that pattern you used for the sofa. I have found thing like this online but could never size it down to the size I needed to print it off. I am computer stupid for sure.
I cant wait for some more updates.
Oh yay what did you use for the vine??

Re: The Little French House
Thanks all for stopping by. The blog will begin to run pretty quiet as I'm coming around the finishing curve over the next couple of weeks. When it's done I'll post it up on the Coldbasementmodels website as well as let Gary know. For those who recall my very first diorama back on Vinnie's site, there are elements which will be familiar.
EDIT:
For home-printed decals don’t use an online application; use your own word processor. I’m using MicroSnot’s Word. But just about any software which allows for importing photographs will work.
1) Steal the image you wish to use from the internet. (save it as a JPG file)
2) Open a fresh page on the word processor and “import” or “insert” the desired picture.
The image will have the little “stretchy-shrinky” corners on it. Stretch or shrink the image to the needed size by using the little display in the upper corner of the screen to tell you how big the finished decal will appear.
See the size box in the corner? Use this to set the needed size for the final printed decal.
Word of warning on home-printed decals: They will be very transparent and must be placed on a white or very light colored surface. Any color other than white will show through the print.
EDIT, EDIT
Roots from weeds in the back yard, painted and sprinkled with railroad foam.
Doing the decals is easy enough if you know some tricks on your word processor.Shawn Ramsey wrote: I would not even know were to begin printing off that pattern you used for the sofa.
