Cobble stone road

Had this piece in my stash for what seems like ages and decided to throw some paint at it.

Originally mastered by Frerik Noordhuis, it's available through Celticwerks as a single 6" x 9" (15.2 cm x 22.9 cm) resin piece. I started by giving it a coat of Tamiya Grey Surface Primer via a rattle can. I then used a dark grey via an AB to 'colour' the cobbles - varying the amount of paint to graduate the grey. Tamiya flat earth was used to prep the dirt areas.
I then applied various washes and filters and added grass matting. I only had a 'summer' grass in my stash so sprayed it a greener shade to better represent autumn/winter. Finally, I added some pigments to represent dirt etc.

Still need to paint the base sides.

Hi Gary,

I have one of them and it is a superb piece. Frerik did an outstanding job on it.

Love what you have done with yours. Looks excellent!

Wonder what Frerik is up to, and Steve for that matter?

And I can't wait.

I have the same base from Steve. :D The ground work look very realistic.

Steve is active on Facebook, looks like he's moving around the country for a new job. Not sure why he's no longer around here, probably no time left for anything hobby related...
