Nice subtle weathering finish Bryan Perhaps tie down the stowage a bit? It kinda looks like it would slide off immediately once this beast starts stomping around the countryside
I think the neutral black base works really well with the otherworldly appearance of the....uh....thing

Re: UDK 38 Schenkle
It was my plan this week to get some tie downs on the stowage. It supposedly moves at a stunning 8km/hr

Re: UDK 38 Schenkel
I'm finally posting photos of the finished Schenkel. This the 1/35 Resin and White Metal kit from 2882 Modeling. Kit issue is 2012. I'm not sure how many were made but my kit box was marked 017.
I started the kit in 2019. It was a very involved build with lots of sand/primer/sand rounds, especially for the white metal parts which had some mold slip and pitted surfaces. I would work on and off on the kit between other projects so I wouldn't get overwhelmed with the complexity. For scale reference, the base is 12in x 12in.
The figures are a mix of Alpine and Panzer Art with misc. stowage. The model is a little large for my photo space so I may reshoot in the future.

Re: UDK 38 Schenkel
That is one seriously big kit Bryan
You have done a superb job on the weathering, so realistic
I guess you will be looking for a space as big as all the 1/32 Border model Lancaster builders!
Well done
Regards
Steve H

Re: UDK 38 Schenkel
Thanks guys!
Space is at premium around here right now.
BTW - there is a 1/20 scale schenkel! An exceedingly rare and expensive kit.
