Re: Sphinx
I sanded everything with 800grit foam sander then applied Mr Surfer 1500 from a spray can. I found a few minor issues that need attention.
Lots of nice detail on the underside. Too bad it won't be seen. I'll paint it black though.

Re: Sphinx
Thanks for the underside view, it really does look nice!
You could make it hover on a frozen lake which happens to have a mirror smooth surface

Re: Sphinx
Got some paint applied. All masking with the Frog tape. Clean lines and no lifting paint. Not obvious in the photos but all panels lines were masked for post shading.
BOOM!
BOOM!

Re: Sphinx
Kit decals applied. They were a little thick and would not conform to the tubes so had to limit it to the "3" and the frog. I used Archer water slide decals for the small stencils and a few Dragon kit markings from the spares.

Re: Sphinx
Time to get serious on this shelf queen. I worked in more filters and shading effects. All with oil paints.

Re: Sphinx
Very impressive how much of a difference the filters make. Taking notes for my Kugelblitz
