New Group build???
Have we decided if we will have another and if so, when and what?

Re: New Group build???
I'd like to have a little break of a few months in which to work on my enourmous pile of shelf queens... Maybe we could have 6 months for contests and 6 months "free for all"?
As for new topics, a few suggestions from the top of my head:
- Panzer IV
- KV
- Churchill
- Towed artillery/AA/AT guns with or without prime mover
All of that is strictly my opinion and by no means any sort of forum policy. Yet.

What do you think of Japanese armor? No scale nor specified era. It could be a WWII tankette or the latest Type 10.

I am by no means saying we need another in the near future. With the Stug being almost finished.....maybe two weeks, I am already planning on what new to start. Just wanted to check if we had ever decided.

Sign me up with Philipp too.
It gives us recalcitrants 6 months unofficial catch up time
As for a new selection, well let me see
Panzer's I or II or IV, or T-34 or Churchill or AA or Artillery or 1/2 track or 2/3 axle lorries or rail gun or well, I'm pretty open minded these days
As long as it is 1930's to 1946

As I always thought the Group Builds should get as many people as possible out of their comfort zones my suggestion would be the BTR family of vehicles.

Re: New Group build???
The problem with "less popular" subjects is always to get people to start in the first place. Regrettably we can't force anyone
I'd prefer a broader subject matter than just a single vehicle family. Let's say if we used "Balkan wars" as a subject, it could be anything from old Shermans to T-55s to KFOR Leopard 2A4s, which should be enough for most people.

That does have an appeal - I like the thought of being gently compelled to do something that you otherwise would NOT have doneChris Smith wrote:As I always thought the Group Builds should get as many people as possible out of their comfort zones my suggestion would be the BTR family of vehicles.

Re: New Group build???
The reason I suggested BTRs is that we would have a kind of level playing field, it's not a subject most of us know much about so it would give the chance to pool research, experience etc thus making it a "real" group effort. Plus with BTR being the general topic we have quite a bit of leeway regarding vehicle, variant, nationality, markings and scale.
