Dark Knight Terminator

Post by Mark Aldrich »

Games Workshop. The plastic figure sets have very soft detail. I will probably stick to only painting their Finecast figures. Playing with IMGUR and I can't make the pictures fit into this section so I included a link. Sorry.

Quite a mean looking fellow, but of course that's standard for 40k

(oh, and great looking too!)

I'd love to build and paint one of these, if only they were a little larger...

Thanks!
Still trying to figure out the Imgur stuff. Even when I upload resized pictures, it does not show them.

GWS is so effin inconsistent! They have changed their paint series three times in as many years. They used to make and sell and nice three piece sanding stick set for about $5 they dropped that and now sell a two piece file set for $21. Go figure. I really enjoy their FineCast line and will continue to use that. These plastic figures just don't have the detail the old metal line did.

Mark welcome to GW! having been a wargamer on and off for a long time games workshop have always been a presence in the background. They follow the cynical marketing path. Everything is revamped every year or two, for those that play the game its ridiculous, new rulesets, new figure types, new this new that!... cant use those figures with this ruleset etc etc
The recent overhaul was to totally eradicate their fantasy line, wiping out support for all the millions of gamers that game that genre.
They then rereleased a fantasy line! with a completely different spin on it! and it came under so much flak as its is very weak compared to what went before it!
