Hey John! Thanks for dropping in. Yeah, i can't find find a background where these guys aren't blending in. I must be doing something right
Vincent That is very good, i should try that
Ok, some more figure progress. Just concentrating on the ghillie suits, and i think i am at that stage where i am very happy with ghillie and calling it effective enough and done. Just have to work on the uniform colouring now.
To the photos
First step was to pick out the biggest tassles in a light green, really highlighting them from the very dark green.
Next was some good old fashoined dry brushing with an intermediate green.
To paint the ghillie i used the following steps...
1. Initial overall colour of Vallejo Russian Green 70894
2. Oil was using Winsor & Newton Raw Umber
3. Largest tassles picked out with Vallejo Uniform Green 70922
4. Then to highlight the smaller tassles i dry brushed, quite heavily, with Valejo Intermediate Green 70981
5. Finally a dry brush (very dry) of the Intermediate Green overall, just to blend all the tassles together
These look really good in the flesh/plastic (if i may say so myself ) and i am really happy with the way they have turned out

Re: Sniper Viginette
Thanks chaps,
Done a little more to this project, especially while the mojo is hanging about
Attached figures and started adding the Forest in a Pot ground litter...
Off to the docs to get a couple of warts removed, so this can sit for a bit and let the glue dry

Got to agree with Philipp the two bushes next to the tree painted up nicely, when are you going to add the figures?

Will you add some home made leaf litter too?

Thanks chaps!
Steve, yes there is leaf litter to come. This is just the initial layer. Will add more once i get back home. Right now, enjoying my home turf, the beach. Good to be back with family too
