The Anarchist (1/16 or 100mm size)

Post by John Everett »

This is a special gift for a friend who was kind enough to invite me on an intriguing adventure to the top of one of our local mountains. (There's more to it than that. But I would need a few paragraphs to explain it all.)

I'm recreating a character from a fantasy novel titled Clockwork Angels. Rather than attempt to sculpt the whole thing, I'm letting Tamiya do about 80% of the work.

Starting here:

Removing details.

The base was completed a couple weeks ago.

Thanks for following along, gents.

It's funny how much a change in headwear can alter the whole look of a figure. I still need to finish the jacket and add a belt for the various bags to hang.

Probably a silly question John but is that a replacement head also? It looks too good to be the Tamiya one. :?

A very good question, actually. And it is the original Tamiya head. I was a little worried. But I must say that this is a very well sculpted figure for something done in styrene.
The sculpting is complete and I need to get to primer and paint when I get back home.

The hair style s based on descriptions in the book. He's meant to be holding an apple, which is also significant to the story.

I'm impressed that the head is Tamiya John but I'm even more impressed with what you are creating here. With the changes you have made he just oozes character now. Nice. :)
