Tamiya's Dinosaur

Feel free to move this, Gary. But I'm pretty sure it would be considered non-military.
At the IPMS show last year I was intrigued by a handful of entries in the "Dinosaur" category. There really was some spectacular taxidermy to be seen. The winning entry was scratch sculpted and used real glass eyes from the taxidermist.
I purchased Tamiya's Chasmosaur last fall with the idea that the kids might have fun building it. In the end they just wanted to use my sprue cutters to remove the parts from the tree.
These kits are super simple to construct. So I thought I might have a go in an underused category. In truth, I'll probably have more time in the forest vegetation than I do in the dinosaur itself.
If you've never seen one before, Tamiya includes a pretty good base to go along with the model. I've added the dirt and paint.
The leg joints still need considerable putty work. But I'm looking at 32 hours in St. Louis over the next few days. So I suspect I'll get the model cleaned up and ready for base paint.
