Here is a little under the bonnet paint action for you. Please ignore the injector marks and the attachment holes on the bonnet. You won't see them when the bonnet is on.
There's still more work to do on the body but I'm getting there.

Splendidly art deco Vincent!

Really love this style of design, sadly lasted only into the late 50s and then went down the drain but this essentially the apex of the notion, initially manifested in the context of the Art Nouveau movement, of "movement" in static design elements - looking forward to seeing it finished!

Hi everyone. I've finally got this one finished although it turned out a little differently from what I said at the start. I originally bought this kit with a single idea in mind.
I've been a Batman fan since I was a kid. My Mum would buy me the latest comic when it came out, after my usual begging of course, and I would devour it eagerly. My favorite Batman era was through the 50's and early 60's until the "New Age" realistic drawing style was born. I remember the comics being full of fun and excitement so I wasn't impressed with the TV series when it came along, but I still watched it. The movies meanwhile called forth a Dark Knight style of hero that was missing from my childhood comic books.
The Batman of the late 40's through to the early 60's created all sorts of gadgets and gizmos but none was bigger than the Batmobile. Curiously the Batmobile was drawn differently in almost every issue as there was no uniform idea amongst all the artists at the time. Eventually, they did settle on a single design but I always thought about what would Batman do with the old cars. Hence the motivation for this build.
This is my impression of a Batmobile that has been worn out, superseded by the next incarnation, stripped of its supercharged engine and special equipment and left to gather dust somewhere near the Batcave. Without any further ado, let me introduce to you, my Batmobile of the 40's. After this bit of fun, I had better get on with something serious Thanks for following along.
