Re: Revell 66 Chevy Pickup
A bit more progress to show.
I've done some work on the cab with rust on the roof and my first attempt at hand drawn flames.
I looked for suitable decals for the flames but nothing caught my eye so I decided draw my own. I made a paper template then held it against the hood and traced around the shapes. Not 21st Century cutting edge technique but it worked. Then I used a liquid masking fluid before spraying the various colours. The final touch was outlining the flames with a black marker pen. I would have preferred a thinner line but I'm happy with the result so far. Of course, the cab still needs to be weathered and the small blemishes you can see will have to be touched up before I finish.
Cheers and thanks for looking.

Re: Revell 66 Chevy Pickup
I've made some progress on the cabin and I'll add more "junk" in there as I go. I've given the floors some dust and grime already, together with the obligatory old magazines.
Back to the bench for me.

Here you can see the scratch built fuel tank. The steel finish looks better in real time.
There is still a lot more to do but I'm comfortable with where it's at so far.Back to the bench for me.

Re: Revell 66 Chevy Pickup
Just a small update from me to prove I'm still working on this build. I've been experimenting with making broken glass.

Could it be crushed microscope slide covers?
I would, as I have loads of them
