What can I say Justin. My first blog of puns. Love the humour.

PS. I've probably gotten a little under a quarter way through drilling the holes on the rear deck. Slow but steady.

Saint and patience are definitely not the words I'd use to describe me.
There are far more colourful words being used on this project. Your visits have not coincided with the broken drill times.
See you soon

Re: Revell 1/72 Gato Class Submarine "USS Growler"
Decided to take a break from drilling holes and move on to the conning tower. Tried to add some pipes to the inside but once it gets all buttoned up you don't see any of it, so gave that idea a miss after a while. There is not as much reference material around, compared to the German u-boats, of with the is an absolute ocean of reference material available. One problem I have run into is bending the hand and foot holds, which in the instructions the tell you to use the plastic template. Alas, because this was not a complete kit, they don't exist. So I need to invent something to keep them all alike. That's modelling, full of challenges.
So here is my unfinished conning tower, which is only dry fitted, as I need to prime, paint and weather before gluing it together.
That's all for now. On to some painting, if I still remember how.

Thanks Philipp.
Yes it's slow going but moving. Family things are getting in the way at the moment. But back to the bench soon I hope.

Ok Shawn, I take full responsibility for spending your money. What else can I get for you.
You will enjoy that, it's a great kit and a great build. I enjoyed building mine, it got me back into the hobby and that was way back before I owned an airbrush. It was all painted by brush. I'm a glutten for punishment.
