Hi chaps,
The annual model expo in Melbourne last weekend. There was some really fantastic models on display, but a Type XXIII submarine beached, abandoned and forgotten really took my fancy. I liked all the elements. Nice sized base and a great idea to display this model. The weathering and rusting was very nice and really effective. The figure with the bicycle is a nice touch and lends scale to the whole scene. A couple of sea birds and nest on the top lent a nice creative touch, the modeler even remembered to put bird poop below the nest. Nice attention to detail
Photos are not great as lighting in the building is just shy of shocking and don't do this justice. Hope you enjoy anyway

That s great! When I go to events like this there are tons of tanks on little bases, but a model like this makes me pause and look further.
