Its a bugs life!

Post by Vlad Seabrook-Smith »

Ever since I came across this kit from Industria mechanika https://industriamechanika.com/shop/ I just had to have it!

But with a cycle of, out of production, and lack of spend power when in production causing untold frustration, the two aligned and the beast is mine :D on series seven now so that just shows how long this saga has gone on!!

Right on with the show, its steampunk/dieselpunk. I will let you guys go searching down the rabbit hole for further explanation :D
Simple packaging, but usually hold the best things!

The kit comes with two pilot figures neither of which I shall be using, instead this beauty from the Mauser earth range. which can be found here http://www.wonderlands-project.com/en

So the contents of the Hornethopter

Its one of those kits that is crying out for just a little extra :D

And the figure

Nice choice of head!

As you can see the detail is very fine, let down by my poor photography, its almost a little too scale, may need to do a little touch of work to add a bit more depth.....

I started off with the figure, and she was a delight to assemble.

Now should I stick with a Russian theme? she does look good.......

And I have started work on the flying machine, clean up of the components, major hole drilling that kind of thing :D and hinging the main chassis.

And more laters :D all comments welcome

Not my thing but I am certainly intrigued enough to stay watching

Detail looks very nice. What sort of size does this build too?

Will be following this with interest. The Industria Mechanika stuff has always piqued my interest, even though my wallet says 'no'.
