The repainting makes such a difference to the parts, it is quite spectacular assembled.

Painting the whole kit was the point of the exercise - Bandai apparently things everybody is happy with their kit looking like
this...
Anyway, I finished both the shield/grenade launcher/beam "bayonet" as well as the regular lighsa....
beam-sabre and beam rifle.
Now everything left to do is taking a few nice pics of the whole contraption

Yep, good work indeed. But I'm still not sure how the whole aircraft transformation stuff is supposed to work (for the paint's sake, please don't demonstrate

It's going to be in my gallery, but since we all know that Gary's internet connection isn't exactly cooperative (or in existence for that matter) right now I'll post a couple of preview pics that should serve to finish the whole project quite nicely here
