Really like the paint effect you're achieving on this

Vlad: Sorry to but I'll keep my BT collection for now, I feel fairly attached to the whole game...
Shawn: I'm painting the whole kit, it's pre coloured for sure but it would be horribly hard to achieve anything like shading, colour modulation or even ageing, given that untreated (without a base coat that is) Bandai plastic reacts to thinned oil colours by developing cracks...
Jurgs: No test fitting, from the Zeta-Gundam ages past I know that Bandai has Tamiya level fit so I'm not conducting any test fitting operations, they would drive me insane anyway
.
Ian and
everyone: Thanks!
After the hands I did the feet.. again it's a lot of parts and a lot of sub assemblies for something that eventually looks fairly solid.. bit it's moveable horizontally and laterally.. oh and the heel is separately articulated...
"Please avoid stepping the 50+ton 20m war machine on the foot, it's mechanically delicate!"
It has a distinct "Hermes-vibe" doesn't it?
Now only the legs, the rifle, the shield, the binders....
Best regards

Phew, legs done... another case of insanely articulated.. I think they have more points of articulation than MY legs
. Again a ~30+ part assembly in what feels a million sub assemblies - it's really vastly different from building a tank...surprise!
I again used 4 different tones of grey in order to vary the effect a bit with some colour modulation and shading going on. Oh and some oily mechanical parts
.
(And of course a
liberal amount of F-4 warning decals, especially over some of the vernier thrusters.)
...I should have chosen some less "open" MS design for this build... a
Mk II or something along those lines
.

I have still no idea how it will look once it's done but...great work

I think I now can help you with that
.
But first: the hip!
It's insane again: 32 parts and tons of articulation...
Which leads to the first instance where I could at long last give some impression of the whole 90s-stealth-esque monster
.
It still lacks the binders, shield, rifle and beam sabre
.

That does look good, the reworked painting is paying off

Thanks Vlad!
So, since I'm on a roll with this kit right now: wing binders!
And I wont' mention the irritating thing with the pin-up on the wings (from an Academy M3 light by the way) since I would probably loose my designator as "
the other German guy" to the "
pervy German guy"
.
Best regards

I'm still confused about the subject but I am really enjoying watching the painting effects Raoul. Fantastic!
