Wingy thing on my bench...

Post by Jurgen Mares »

Hi all.
Great to see all these familiar names and faces.

Never really got out of my modellers block but have recently managed to do a little bit of modelling.

This is the Pro-Modeler F-84 Thunder jet. I really wanted to try using some of these Alclad II paints so this is the perfect subject.
Unfortunately no build pics.
First layer of Alclad II Aluminium with some flaps and the odd panel finished with Duraluminum.

Once again, great to be back.

Great to have you back Jurgs. Hopefully you'll come to your senses and start building things with tracks on them again :P

I have some sympathy Jurgs

Neat job - the Alclad paints are pretty amazing.

The decal opportunites on these craft are wonderful 8-)

Not really mate. Just plodding along with some "wingy" projects.
Got an F-8e crusader on the go too. Early stages.
I've also got some sci-fi projects I want to have a crack at.

Another little update.
Have added a few more shades of Alclad (Chrome and Dark Aluminium).
After masking it up added Olive Drab for the anti glare and Blue mixed with clear for the pods and underside fin.
Have to say I'm super impressed with these Alcads :)

That's a very nice looking wingy thing your building. The metal finish looks great.
