F-4F Phantom
Hi chaps,
Something i finished last year and one of my favourite jets! I did this more as a masking excercise than anything else. This was an old Testors kit rebranded under the Italeri logo. It was pretty terrible. So i filled and sanded everything, even the panel lines (reminiscent of a Himilayan mountain range) got sanded off. I just wanted the very basic awesome shape of the F-4 Phantom

Re: F-4F Phantom
Very nice
It could as well be a tank, considering the way the Luftwaffe used these things
(Very low and very fast. They also tried it with the Starfighter, with predictable results...)

Love it. I prefer aircraft models mounted as if they are in flight, it is their element after all!

As to the Starfighter, i don't think they nicknamed it 'the widowmaker' for no reason

Re: F-4F Phantom
Thanks Adam I agree with you, they do look good. Two other reasons i like is, you are not bothering with fiddly fragile landing gear and it can be a space saver in the cabinet as it raises the model above others. Gives you another levelAdam Durrant wrote:Love it. I prefer aircraft models mounted as if they are in flight, it is their element after all!
