Where does the time go.

Post by Shawn Ramsey »

Its been a long time since I have posted anything or even built anything. I have been following everyone's work and I have to say there has been some great models built by you guys.

Whats been going on with me you might ask. Well first and foremost I finished my Bachelors degree in March. This consumed all my spare time. I started shooting 3 Gun as soon as I finished my degree. What a great shooting sport, but very, very expensive.

I have not built a model in over a year. The Locust was the last thing I built. The motivation has just not been there. I cant decide what to build next, and the demise of Photo Bucket, all contributed to the lack of my motivation.

With that being said, I started painting the MIniart house I started so long ago and just created a IMGUR account. Now if someone can tell me how to post photos from there that would be great. I figured out how to save images to IMGUR, but that is as far I as have made it.

Thanks
Shawn

Great to have you back Shawn. Used to shoot 3 Gun as well, it was a natural progression from IPSC that I had been shooting for years. Shooting has become quite expensive and the time taken up by it is also a major factor.

Congrats on graduating!

If you click on the photo in your Imgur account it comes up with a list of options to the right of the screen. The one to use is second from the bottom from memory, click on that then past the saved URL into your post. Someone else can probably explain it better than that but that’s what I do 8-)

Hi Shawn, welcome back! Congratulations on your degree! :D

I found Imgur to be relatively simple to use. As Adam said, once you have uploaded an image click on "BB Code" and you get all you need to post a photo here.

Don't press "share to community", that publishes the photo on their website so the whole internet can point and laugh at it.

How about a new Tamiya kit, OOTB? From personal experience this usually helps overcome a modeller's block ;)

Thank for the warm welcome back.

Philipp- Your right IMGUR is so easy to use. Lets hope they don't do what Photobucket did to us.

Adam- I never shot IPSC and just jump into 3 Gun with both feet. God knows how much money I have spent. I would post pictures of my Latest Acquisitions for 3 GUn, but I dont know what the laws are in Germany and I don't want to get Philipp into any trouble.

Welcome back! I know about the time. I thought I would have the Heavy assault and the wheeled vehicle done by now. It is June and the Nagmashon is still not finished and all I have for an excuse is life (not getting a Master's Degree)! Congrats on that!
