It’s been quite a while...

It’s been quite a while...

... About 18 months since I last posted here and over two years since I did any modelling at all. How time flies

After much change in life I finally think I’ve got my modelling mojo back and I’m looking forward to getting on with all those kits I’ve accumulated over the years. I’m planning on starting by clearing down several stalled builds from my extensive shelf of shame* before I start anything new. While this may be dangerous (as they did stall for a reason) if I don’t complete some there will be no room for the next in-progress builds! I’ll be getting a new thread started soon to document progress and hopefully we’ll see some finished models  :D

Looking forward to catching up with you all.

Happy building,
Ian

*There is something like 25 kits in various states of completeness, from only a couple of pieces off sprues, to just needing a dash of weathering to complete.

Hi Philipp,

Good to see a lot of the old names are still around!

Unfortunately the last modelling I did was this viewtopic.php?f=58&t=985 about 18 months ago. I will be picking it up again as I'm not far off getting it sorted.

Cheers,
Ian

Hi Olivier, thanks! If I can complete more than I start then I will deem it a successful year!

Hi Ian

good to see you back at the bench, time to dust off the glue and stick some plastic together 8-)

Perhaps a simple starter to get the mojo flowing :?:

Tackling the "queens" is laudable, but as you said, there is a reason each and everyone is there.

The current retro GB might be a good starter?

an older simple 50 piece kit, a blast from the past?

Enjoy it whatever comes first ;)

Regards

Hi Steve, I'm actually quite enthused about some of my stalled builds and I'm looking forward to picking them up. That said, there are several items on the shelf that may just end up in the bin... I can spot at least three of them!
