back with a blast

Post by Phill Brooks »

hi guys, sorry i havent been around for awhile,
lots of things have gone on scince last on the site,in the last 6 years
i lost most of my aunts and uncles to cancer but 4 years ago i lost my mum to the disease,i also had to stay nearly 2 years back up in manchester to look after my dad (my step father) who had bowel cancer,he survived it after many operations and we moved him and his dog down to portsmouth where he now lives just up the road were we can keep an eye on him,
then if all that seems bad 3 years ago i collapsed and nearly died from an empyema on my right lung, unknown to me i had double pneumonia (too many cold nights out shooting rats at my friends property) and spent a lot of time in hospital.
i'm alright now and the only modelling i've done was a couple of mobile artillery vehicles for an ex squaddie,
but a few weeks ago i got hold of an rc 1/16 scale jagdtiger witch is being built as a static model and i've dived right back in ,i will post pics when i remember my photo bucket password  ,truth is i forgot my password on this site to

Hi Phil,

I'm glad to hear from you again! I cant even start to imagine how horrible all of this must have been for you :( I'm glad you and your dad are okay!

Photobucket is pretty much worthless by now because they no longer allow embedded images - unless you pay an obscene amount of money for a premium account. Imgur is a good and free alternative but it takes some getting used to. You can also attach photos directly with the attachments tab below the reply/preview buttons.

I'm looking forward to see your JT! Please ask if I can help you in any way! :)

Good to hear from you Brooksy

sounds like you really have been through the mill in the past few years

Imgur is OK once you get a handle on it.

Never knew you could post direct to the forum?

I guess you need to keep the photos on your laptop too?

Have fun with the Jagdtiger

Regards

It's really quite simple - here's an illustrated guide:

1: Click on "Attachments"
1.jpg
1.jpg (72.18 KiB) Viewed 3038 times
2: click on "Add files" - you can pick several at once.
2.jpg
2.jpg (72.02 KiB) Viewed 3038 times
The files are now uploaded to the site server. Click on "place inline" to add them whereever the cursor is in the text box.
3.jpg
3.jpg (86.75 KiB) Viewed 3038 times
This marker appears in the text box - it works like any other photo link.
