Cold Basement is live....I think????

Post by John Everett »

Hello Gents,

I finally decided to take the Cold Basement Models website live today. I think it's working..... :? :?: :?: :?: :?:

If you have a few minutes, could you have a look around at www.coldbasementmodels.com? I'm trying to work out any problems with our small group here before I take the site into a bigger, and less forgiving world.

If you find problems, dead links, things you don't like or don't understand, send me a message here or via email at coldbasementmodels@gmail.com. If there's something you would like to buy, try out the shopping cart and paypal feature. If it goes badly or fails to work let me know and we can get things fixed.

Mostly I just want to find out if this thing works and if not, under what circumstances does it fail.

Thanks in advance,

John

Hi John,

I like it. I think the layout is perfect. Everything you are offering is there at first glance. I read once that people browsing websites like to be where they want to go within three mouse clicks. I get that on your site.

I like the comments on your figures page. You're right, there are not enough general civilian figures and you state your mission and goals to rectify that.

Great site John, obviously you will tweak it here and there as time goes by, but i think it is ready to go 'into a bigger, and less forgiving world'.

Yes. But it's expensive right now. The US Post Office has changed their international shipping rates to a system they call, "Prison Rape Pricing".

A one pound package to the UK or Europe is about $25 USD. Once things settle down over the next month I'll start looking for a distributor in the UK or Europe.

Nice looking site John. Only thing that seemed missing to me was no mention of scale for the building materials. I know they are 1/35th but fresh viewers might not.

John-
the site looks great - very creative and interesting to explore.

Are you going to market the beds you sculpted way back when? I have a couple of good copies here if you need to make a new mold.

Fair point. I also wondered about this. May need to make some changes there..

John,

just a line under the title like

Cold Basement Models

1/35th Figures and diorama accesories

would be enough and not involve any major changes.

Are we going to be granted a discount ? Seems like a subject that fill a void of the figures .
