2nd Fife & Forfar Yeomanry

Hi , I am looking for advice on which mk of Sherman was operated by the above unit in Normandy and which kit you would suggest as a starting point. I am looking to build both a std gun and a Firefly. I have read that a Vc is the most likely for the latter but not sure about the other. Many thanks in advance.

2nd Fife & Forfar Yeomanry were part of the 11th AD in Normandy and they were equipped with M4A4 Shermans (Sherman V and Vc).

For both the V and Vc, you can't go wrong with the Tasca/Akura kits. Tamiya has recently released the Tasca/Akura Vc under their own branding which is excatley the same kit but with a different box and instructions.
