Why do they call them Gall stones ?

Post by Edmund Forsythe »

The liver and the pancreas can make stones also , so why do they call them gall stone after you get your gall bladder out . But it still hurts , maybe not as much as kidney stones , but given the chance they still can kill you . I just learned all of this the last couple of days the hard way . By experience I was passing stones and it went septic . I don't like that word , it got infected .

Can't really help you figuring out why they are called gall stones but it's another case that strengthens my believe in the realization that as creatures we are really fragile.
When I think about the tons of things that could kill us... we really aren't all that more resistant than rabbits (I use them as an example because we have to go to the vet with ours all the time...), maybe we should try and splice human genes with cat ones - they appear at least halfway resistant  .

Seriously though: get better and all best wishes!

To add insult to injury they won't feed you because they have to go through your stomach . They might be able to tell where the stones came from , they sent them off to the lab . Really this is a sleeper terrorist cell left by the gall bladder when it went suicidal and tried to kill me .
