Sorry, I've been away for a little while...

Post by Philipp Gross »

First of all, my sincere apologies for pretty much neglecting this community and leaving it in a bit of a desolated state :?

To make a long story short, this summer my better half Jenni and I bought a house. A fairly new and modern house built in 2015, but the move, "minor" renovations, bureaucracy and everything else took a lot more time and effort than we anticipated, especially with both of us working full time. But now we're done, everything's ready for a big Christmas housewarming and I've finally got my workbench back :D

One room on the top floor is now both my workplace for working from home three days a week as well as my new hobby room. New private desk/workbench with a total length of 325cm (~10ft 8in):

(the office desk is in the other corner of the room)

Display shelves (and grandpa's battleship), last seen at my old place:

And finally the sight that caused a little bit of consternation and despair, for both of us

Yep, that's for the first time ever my stash assembled in one place. At least all the full kits. Figures and aftermarket are stowed away elsewhere

Aaaaaanyhow....it's good to be back! I hope to do a bit of modelling over the holidays and post some updates in a few long-forgotten threads. :D

To all of you, I wish you a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year and I hope to see some wonderful models next year! :D

Cheers,
Philipp

Thank you all, and Happy New Year! :D

I'm trying hard to put the new bench to good use and I hope to post some updates soon. As usual, my New Year's resolution is to build more and buy less

How are you doing Steve? I hope you can get back to modelling soon :)
