We're up to 56 cases now and may have our first community transmission, Still no hospital admissions. My usually packed HIIT class at the gym was down to 8 of us this morning, less than one per station so plenty of "social distance" between us. We are being encouraged to work from home...now if only I could set up an operating theatre in the garage.... :D

We are now moving to total lockdown. As of tomorrow all schools will be closed, and only essential services will be allowed to continue. Telehealth is the new buzz word in my field. We will only operate on acute cases, but can perform follow up appointments and new patient assessments by phone.

Morning

You might have caught it in the past 12 hours, we are all in lockdown in the whole of the UK.

Just essential workers allowed out and only basic food shopping or collecting medication allowed

The exercise thing has all the social commentators up in arms, but it couldn't really be much clearer, if you get the C.V. it could kill you!

There are videos of under 30 year old's in intensive care saying they thought they were invulnerable!!

Take care everyone, dust off your bench and try to distract yourself for an hour or two.

Last night Governor Inslee locked Washington down. Not sure who or how this will effect us. I have a "Essential Worker" card but things like quickie marts I am not sure if they will be open.

These are difficult times....but I don't want to imagine how things would soon be without such measures.

I hope next time someone discovers a strange new disease we'll have a much quicker reaction and immediate quarantine for everyone in the area...

LOL.....After reading Inslee's 14 page paper....nothing changes!!!! I think he did it to allow the police force to remove students (no longer in school) gathering in mass in public places like Owens beach and such.
