Well after a few weeks worth of work I have more or less finished my new space. Some of you may remember my old space was pretty nice. My only complaint was I used kitchen cabinets which made the bench 36" high. I had to sit on a drafting chair and my feet could not touch the ground. After a short period of time this became very uncomfortable.
Luckily there is an Ikea about two hours from my house so it was time for a road trip. The bench cabinets are designed for an office space and I really love them. 5-drawers per cabinet and I purchased 4 of them. The wall cabinets are kitchen cabinets which I purchased unfinished. I painted them to match the base cabinets.
All the drawers and other accessories you see on the bench are Hobby zone products https://www.hobbyzone.pl/ . The are really nice but what you see here cost me a small fortune and I have a few more on order .
Now the stash closet. This closet it bigger than my other one so the stash does not look so big and I have extra room. I guess its time to start adding to the stash.
Sorry for the poor pictures. I just used my phone.
Thanks for looking
Shawn

Very nice Shawn. Lots of space for more kits and a well thought out workbench. What more could you ask for?

Hi Shawn
you are making us all very jealous with such a well organised and fully dedicated work room.
Hopefully some time to enjoy it will follow in 2020?

Philipp The Ikea stuff is nice and reasonably priced unless you have to pay shipping costs. Then its not worth it. Two hours from my house to the closest Ikea.Philipp Gross wrote: ↑28 Jan 2020, 03:23 That's an amazing workspace Shawn! Nice stash too

It is defiantly nice. I just hope I can get some stuff finished this year. Two separate work spaces was really imprtant to me this time around.. All the building will take place on the right and painting on the left. I do have to figure out better lighting to take pictures though. There are LED lights that run the entire length under the upper cabinets and then a extra light on each side of the work bench.Steve Hutchinson wrote: ↑28 Jan 2020, 05:53 Hi Shawn

Jan- It wont last long. But I do tend to clean my space up on a regular basis.Jan Persson wrote: ↑28 Jan 2020, 20:36 That is really most impressive - I admire your sense of order
The natrual light is nice as well as natural ventilation for air brushing. I do have a sparypaint booth. From prior experiences, I spend such a small amount of time actually airbrushing I am just going to get it out as needed. More or less it became a place to store things and when it was time to use the airbrush I had to clean it out. It will take less time to set it up. But honestly since I use mostly acrylics I think the majority of time I won't even use it and just open up the window.Justin Wooding wrote: ↑28 Jan 2020, 08:41 Very nice Shawn!!
